Developing a strong interest for the musical works of film/television and game composers early in high school, Jonathon decided to put his musical background to use and pursue study at WAAPA in hopes of turning his passion for music composition into a career.
Jonathon unknowingly embarked on his musical journey at the age of 5 when he began learning piano under the tutelage of his father. Since then, he has continued to be surrounded by music everyday; picking up violin when he was 10, performing in a variety of high school musical ensembles (Chamber orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Boys Choir and Senior chorale) across various venues (Perth Concert Hall) and even in different countries through school organised European Music Concert Tour (Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Prance, Belgium). Outside of school, he has also done numerous (AMEB) exams on music theory and both instruments, as well as participating in various (Joondalup Eisteddfod) competitions.
Despite having unpleasant experiences and misadventures associated to music in more frequency than he would like, Jonathon has continued to maintain a love and passion for the wonders that music can bring as well as a healthy appreciation for the necessary trials and tribulation associated.
